Since our last SDASCOE meeting, the Benefits Committee has been very busy working to meet
the request of members. I know that a lot of these items are "peats" and "repeats" but I get a lot
of inquiries about cell phone and computer discounts. So I will continue to put the information on
my report. Along with those regulars, here are a few of the updates you should be aware of:
JM Marketing:
JM Marketing is extremely committed to providing NASCOE with the best products they can
obtain. The focus from the Benefits Committee at this point is on retirement planning and
preparation and that is right in line with the strongest message received from the NASCO
membership. JMM has an expert in CSRS and FERS who is available to perform retirement
benefit analysis at no cost to the member.
Sam's Club Membership Coupon/Costco Membership Certificate:
Sam's Club has again renewed the Sam's Club certificate. In order to take advantage of this and
a few of the other Members Only benefits, you need to go into the NASCOE website, Benefits
page, and fill out the Login/Registration Page for NASCOE members only. I cannot print a
certificate or print the page to send to you. I believe it is once again a $10 coupon.
Costco membership certificates are also in the Members Only site.
On a note on the Members Only page ..... I tried to login/register by requesting a password
last week. 50 far I haven't received confirmation, So I can't help with the signing in process. Since
I don't have access to this page yet, I can't tell you what else is available through this page. I will
update when I get that access.
Working Advantage:
Many SDASCOE members have requested information on this new benefit. Feedback has been
interesting. There have been some who have taken "advantage" of this new benefit for various
items. Thank you for sharing that information. If you haven't already asked for permissions for
this program and are interested, send me an email, and I'll send you the instructions for
registering (once I've verified membership).
Cell phone discounts:
With the merger of Alltel and AT&T, we have been assured that if you are a current Alltel
customer, your discount should seamlessly be transferred when the merger occurs in your area.
If your plan expires about the same time as the merger occurs, you need to discuss this with your
local agent to discuss a new plan and get your discount reinstated.
Computer Discounts:
Dell Company (www.deI.com) and Hewlett-Packard (www.hp.com) both offer government
employees discounts. The discount and the discounted products change on a regular basis.

NASCOE Travel:
Where do your dreams take you?!NAsCOE travel is a great benefit for our organization. Anyone
can use this site, so tell you friends and families. This is NOT a members only benefit! Check
www.nascoe.org Benefits page for updated newsletters that highlight specials. The site has some
amazing features. You can book tickets to sporting events, concerts, buy flowers, etc. You can
book car rentals, hotel rooms, airline tickets. The more we use the site, the more we benefit
NASCOE's budget through the commissions earned.
